What is Incentivized Traffic?

Visitors rewarded (cash, points, entries) for completing an action — often low-intent and disallowed by many brands.

Incentivized traffic is driven by rewarding the user for the action — cashback, loyalty points, sweepstakes entries. It converts at high rates but the users often have no genuine interest, so retention and lifetime value are poor. Many brands ban it outright.

It's not always bad — some brands want the volume — but it must be disclosed, because a brand paying for high-intent buyers and receiving reward-seekers is being misled.

PayTandem lets a brand declare disallowed traffic types (including incentivized) as compliance rules the creator attests to at accept, and the record heads off the 'you sent junk' dispute.
